Baptism at Trinity

Holy baptism is a gift from God. He set aside his word of promise and adds his word of promise to water applied in his name and by his command in order to forgive sin and make us his beloved children. The Bible refers to baptism as a washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.

After Jesus died and rose again, before he ascended into Heaven, he told his disciples to continue to his work.

Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” - Matthew 28:18-20

All of us need this washing and renewal because we were born sinful. Our condition is sinful and we need the forgiveness only God can give. He gives this forgiveness in Holy Baptism and establishes with us a new forgiving relationship.

If you would like to be baptized at Trinity, sign up for one of our baptism workshops. Currently, these are being held about once a month via Zoom. Pastor Jeremy meets with adults who wish to be baptized as well as parents who wish to have their children baptized. He discusses baptism, what it is and why we do it. He also explains your role and how this all plays out in the "real life" of your home. At that time, you can schedule a baptism and complete our baptism information form as well as our parent questionnaire.
