Preschool - full day
When a child turns 3 and toilet trained (or are going to be 3 by December 1 of that school year), they are eligible to join the full day Preschool classroom. Trinity has two full day Preschool classrooms - one for 3 and young 4 year old children (Preschool 3) and the other for 4 and young 5 year old children (pre-kindergarten or Preschool 4). Snacks and lunch are included.
Both Preschool classrooms offer daily Jesus time, songs, finger plays, science, math, art, literacy, gym and outdoor activities. Learning social skills through child-directed playtime is supported and encouraged. An afternoon rest time is provided. The preschool curriculum is designed with long range goals in mind and will contribute effectively to the child's social, intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual development. Although "play" is not listed as a "concept", play is an important vehicle through which children learn.

Traditional preschool has two classrooms offering 2 1/2 hour sessions of preschool for 3 and 4 year old children as well as a Young 5's program. Children must turn 3 or 4 by December 1 of that school year to enroll. The preschool strives to work with young children in a Christian setting. The program provides a balance between child-directed play and teacher directed learning activities. We provide children with opportunities to develop using large and small muscles as well as time to listen to stories and interact with each other. The following are times for 2013-14 school year.
Three Year Olds: Tuesday and Thursday, 8:30 - 11:00 AM or 12:00 - 2:30 PM
Four Year Olds: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:30 - 11:00 AM or 12:00 - 2:30 PM
Young Fives: Monday through Thursday 12:00 - 3:00 PM
This program is an introduction to preschool for children age 2-3. The daily schedule includes devotions, large and small motor activities and plenty of time for meaningful play. The program begins in September and runs through May. The class size is limited to 12 with a teacher and 2 assistants.
SAC (School Age Childcare) during School Year
Our after school program is a recreational program that includes games, art, outdoor and gym activities, snacks and homework assistance. Children are allowed to choose activities that are fun and rewarding after a days work in the classroom. Special activities are planned for 1/2 and full days off from school. We also offer a summer camp program.
Enrollment preference is given to Trinity Lutheran School students during the school year. Enrollment of children from other schools are taken on a first come - first serve basis during the school year. There is easy access to busses from either Mt. Clemens or many L'anse Creuse Elementary Schools from the outdoor exit door in the SAC classroom.
