Our classrooms include:

 

Infant Care

At 6 weeks children can join the Infant room.  We have: 
  • A class size of 12
  • An adult/child ratio of 1:3
  • Primary caregivers for each baby

Toddler Care
At about 12 months children join the Toddler room 
A class size of 12

Transition Care (2 year old classroom)
At about age 2 children join the Transition room 
  • A class size of 12
  • An adult/child ratio of 1:4
  • Primary caregivers for each 2 year old
The classroom takes on the look of a beginning preschool classroom and the day is structured to include child-directed and teacher directed activities while still providing the personal relationships of a  primary caregiver.  Daily experiences include Jesus time, songs, finger plays with literacy, science, art and math activities and rest time are provided.  A special emphasis is put on encouraging children to use the toilet.  Children may remain in the Transition classroom until the are 3 and toilet trained.  Snacks and lunch are included.  Click here to contact our transition room teacher. Complete Room Description  Registration Forms   Physical Health Form
 
 
Preschool - full day
When a child turns 3 and toilet trained (or are going to be 3 by December 1 of that school year), they are eligible to join the full day Preschool classroom.  Trinity has two full day Preschool classrooms - one for 3 and young 4 year old children (Preschool 3) and the other for 4 and young 5 year old children (pre-kindergarten or Preschool 4).  Snacks and lunch are included. 
 
Both Preschool classrooms offer daily Jesus time, songs, finger plays, science, math, art, literacy, gym and outdoor activities.  Learning social skills through child-directed playtime is supported and encouraged.  An afternoon rest time is provided.  The preschool curriculum is designed with long range goals in mind and will contribute effectively to the child's social, intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual development.  Although "play" is not listed as a "concept", play is an important vehicle through which children learn. 
 
Preschool 3 - full day
3 and young 4 year olds
  • A class size of 20 with a teacher and 2 assistants
  • An adult/child ratio of 1:7 or 8
  • A structured Preschool curriculum for 3's and young 4's
 
Preschool 4 - full day
4 and young 5 year olds
  • A class size of 24 with a teacher and 2 assistants
  • An adult/child ratio of 1:8
  • A structured pre-kindergarten Preschool curriculum
 
 
Traditional Preschool
Traditional preschool has two classrooms offering 2 1/2 hour sessions of preschool for 3 and 4 year old children as well as a Young 5's program.  Children must turn 3 or 4 by December 1 of that school year to enroll.  The preschool strives to work with young children in a Christian setting.  The program provides a balance between child-directed play and teacher directed learning activities.  We provide children with opportunities to develop using large and small muscles as well as time to listen to stories and interact with each other.  The following are times for 2013-14 school year.
Three Year Olds:  Tuesday and Thursday, 8:30 - 11:00 AM or 12:00 - 2:30 PM
Four Year Olds:  Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:30 - 11:00 AM or 12:00 - 2:30 PM
Young Fives:  Monday through Thursday 12:00 - 3:00 PM
 
 
Terrific Twos
This program is an introduction to preschool for children age 2-3.  The daily schedule includes devotions, large and small motor activities and plenty of time for meaningful play.  The program begins in September and runs through May.  The class size is limited to 12 with a teacher and 2 assistants. 
  • The class sessions are Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:15 - 10:45 AM
  • Toilet Training is not necessary
  • Tuition is $73 per month, with a 10% sibling discount. 
 
 
SAC (School Age Childcare) during School Year
  • for kindergarten - 8th grade
  • before and after school
  • during school half days, days off and snow days
  • during winter, spring and Christmas breaks
  • during summer
  • inside TLC Early Childhood Center
  • with a teacher/child ratio of 1:15 or less
  • for before and after Tradition Preschool on limited basis
Our after school program is a recreational program that includes games, art, outdoor and gym activities, snacks and homework assistance.  Children are allowed to choose activities that are fun and rewarding after a days work in the classroom.  Special activities are planned for 1/2 and full days off from school. We also offer a summer camp program.
 
Enrollment preference is given to Trinity Lutheran School students during the school year.  Enrollment of children from other schools are taken on a first come - first serve basis during the school year.  There is easy access to busses from either Mt. Clemens or many L'anse Creuse Elementary Schools from the outdoor exit door in the SAC classroom.
