Rethink Christmas

Saturday, December 05, 2015, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

REthink Christmas is a time for families to gather, slow down, and refocus on 3 areas that often get neglected in the hectic American Christmas season – Jesus, giving, and time with family.  Together we will walk through stories of the bible – each pointing to the promise of the coming Jesus.  Using those stories, each family will create their very own Jesse tree to take home with them and use each Christmas season as a way of preparing their hearts for Christmas.  Families will leave with a backpack full of supplies to give to a person in need, and we’ll spend time relaxing with a short movie while stringing popcorn and cranberries to hang outside our homes for the local wildlife.  Rethink Christmas is a time for families to be together, focus on God’s gift to us in Jesus, and prepare our hearts for giving.  If you are interested in joining us on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 9 a.m.-noon, please contact Jeremy Ashley at
