3 students earn Macomb County Law Day prizes

    Trinity seventh and eighth grade students participate in several writing contests throughout the year. One is the Macomb County Law Day essay contest. Three of Trinity's seventh and eighth graders placed in the contest.

    This writing contest is sponsored by the Macomb County Bar Association. This year, students were focused on the topic Free Speech, Free Press, Free Society. The instructions were to write a paper describing how the free speech and free press impact society. 

    Eighth grader Lauren McMahon took first place for 8th grade in Macomb County. Kylie D'Andrea took third place for 8th grade. Thomas Philips took first place for seventh grade in the county. 


    They were on Friday, May 3 at the Macomb County Building. Each will be honored by a Macomb County judge as well as receive a prize and a certificate.
