On Wednesday, Sept. 23 as part of our weekly chapel, Trinity school children participated in See You at the Pole. This 30-year-old event is marked annually by students from around the world.
According to the See You at the Pole website, "See You at the Pole™, the global day of student prayer, began in 1990 as a grass roots movement with ten students praying at their school. Twenty years later, millions pray on their campuses on the fourth Wednesday in September."
During their events, students gather at the flagpole before school to pray for their families, friends, teachers, leaders and nation. It is a student-led event. This year, with many schools virtual, the event adapted to encourage everyone to participate, no matter where they learn.
To keep things safe and socially distant, Trinity had three groups of students out to the flagpole to pray. The students were led in prayer by other students, who read prayers that they had written.
If you weren't able to catch the event, we have videos for the three services below. Scroll beyond those to see pictures from the event.
