BLOOD DRIVE IN MARCH—Trinity will host a blood drive for the American Red Cross on Thursday, March 8 from 1-7 p.m. in the Community Center. Trinity’s drives have continued throughout the pandemic and have been vital to the Red Cross. To sign up, go to RedCrossBlood.org and use code TrinityCT.

NA GROUP RESUMES—The Narcotics Anonymous group that meets at Trinity on Friday evenings will resume on Friday, Feb. 5 with a meeting in the Community Center from 7-8:30 p.m. This group will be limited to 50 people and masks will be required.

DIRECT YOUR CHOICE DOLLARS—Last year, Thrivent members’ Choice Dollars earned Trinity $12.229. Members’ 2020 Choice Dollars need to find a home before the end of March. Designate them to Trinity Lutheran Church, School and ECC. There are two ways two for directing Choice Dollars. Go to Thrivent.com/thriventchoice or call 800-847-4836 and say "Thrivent Choice" at the prompt. Please take a few minutes and designate Trinity. Designations must be made by March 31. Every little bit helps.

CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS FOR 2020—Previously, charitable contributions could only be deducted if taxpayers itemized their deductions. However, the CARES Act changed that. Taxpayers who don't itemize deductions may take a charitable deduction of up to $300 for cash contributions made in 2020 to Trinity.

† Also taxpayers 70 ½ can make a qualified charitable distribution from their IRA – up to $100,000 – directly to Trinity. It's generally a nontaxable distribution made by the IRA trustee to a charitable organization. A QCD counts toward your minimum distribution requirement for the year.

† We will be emailing 2020 statements next week. If you do not get the e-mail or require a mailed statement please text the word “Statement” to 586-571-9996.

† You can download your statement at any time by logging into Elexio and clicking on Giving-Statement-Last Calendar year.
