What’s Happening at Trinity—May 9, 2021

Happy Mother’s Day!

CHURCH NURSERY IS OPEN—The church nursery is available again during Sunday morning church services. The nursery is available to children three and under who need care during our worship services. The nursery is free to use and is staffed by trained childcare providers. The nursery is located through the back of the church foyer and to the left of courtyard.

STOCK THE FOOD PANTRY—MEIJER SIMPLY GIVE IS BACK—Trinity’s Food Pantry can get a little help from you and Meijer. Between April 11 and July 3, purchase the specially-marked Simply Give donations cards from the check-out lines at the store on S. Groesbeck and those gift cards will be given to Trinity’s Food Pantry. In addition, Meijer will match the gifts donated to Trinity. Trinity’s Double Day is June 19. On that day, Meijer doubles their donation for each card. For more information on the Simply Give program, contact Pastor Gary at or call 586-463-2921.

E3 CONTINUES WEDNESDAY—Our Wednesday evening program, E3, continues this week and next week before our final week of the spring on May 19. We will offer a place for everyone in the family. There will be a nursery for small children, preschool Bible class, elementary Bible class, our regular middle school meet up and THREE adult studies on various topics led by Pastor Ken, Pastor Gary and Vicar Jeremy. All of the classes will begin at 6:30 p.m. and run for an hour. Join us before the classes for dinner, beginning at 6 p.m. There is no need to register in advance for dinner or the classes, however, we are looking for volunteers to help out with welcoming, check in or children’s ministry. If you are interested in helping out, go to Trinityct.org/E3.

CURRENT EASTER SERMON SERIES—Easter People—We belong to God; therefore, we are Easter people. Because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and by virtue of our baptism, we too, are resurrected to new life. Using the book of 1 John we will explore what it means to live as “Easter People.”

BAPTISM PROGRAM—If you are interested in baptism at Trinity you can schedule a time to meet with Jeremy Ashley, for a “get to know you” conversation. We talk about what baptism is, how we do it, why we do it, our role, your role and how this all plays out in the “real life” of your home. Our time together can simply be for you to find out more about baptism or after we meet you may choose to schedule a baptism for your child! If you have any questions or to move forward with baptism, email me or 586-463-8803!

SUBMIT YOUR PRAYER REQUESTS—We have an online form for submitting those requests. Go to Trinityct.org and click Submit a Prayer Request toward the bottom of the page. Complete the form and it will immediately be sent to the appropriate prayer warriors.
