Emma Smith
Counselor, Practicum Student
My name is Emma Smith and I am in the second half of my internship at Liberty University, projected to graduate Dec. 18, 2026. I am currently under the supervision of the site director, Kristin Hardy, at the center and have been fed great knowledge from here and the other counselors on sight thus far throughout my practicum and internship here. I enjoy being a generalized counselor and using integrative theoretical and faith based interventions. Though I am a generalized mental health counselor and have been trained to treat many different disorders and life struggles, I plan to specialize in OCD with an ACT and CBT theoretical foundation. It is my passion to help others and I take a very person-centered, collaborative approach to counseling. God has placed a calling on my life to help others through mental health counseling and I am honored to be a part of someone's journey in finding emotional regulation, mental freedom, effective coping, and exploration of life.
