Blessing of the Backpacks on Aug. 29/30

August 12, 2021

The Blessing of the Backpacks event is back this year and open to all students, even adults, who are returning to the classroom this fall. The Blessing of the Backpacks will be held on Sunday, Aug. 29 at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. services and also Monday, Aug. 30 at the 7 p.m. worship service.

What is Blessing of the Backpacks?

This is a special blessing for all students (even adults!) returning to school as a reminder that they are being sent out by God’s as a light for Jesus and that they are being prayed for by their Trinity family throughout the school year. Students will receive a special gift to keep with them throughout the school year to remind them of these prayers daily.

BUT, WAIT!  There’s more!

This year we are asking families, as they are able, to bring a “keep at home” supply box to be given to a child in need.  This will be a simple pencil box containing the following: 24-count crayons, 8-count markers, pencils, erasers, and kid scissors.  Our desire is that this will allow kids to have the necessary items to work on schoolwork and other creative projects at home.  If you have any questions about this, please contact Jeremy Ashley at
