Items needed for Thanksgiving food baskets

October 28, 2021

For many years, Trinity has served the needy in the community during the holidays with food baskets. This year, we will continue that tradition started with Thanksgiving baskets.
In order to build nearly 100 baskets, we rely on food donations from the members of our congregation. This year, we need:
  • Boxed mashed potatoes
  • Stuffing - either Stove Top of bagged to stuff in the turkey
  • Canned cranberry sauce
  • Frozen turkeys
  • Canned vegetables
  • Turkey gravy
  • Yams or sweet potatoes
  • Dinner rolls and butter
  • Frozen fruit pies
Items will be collected until Sunday, Nov. 14. They can be brought in on Sunday mornings or dropped off in the Church Office on Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you are bringing perishable food, it is a good idea to call the Church Office at 586-463-2921 to make sure someone is available to put it in the refrigerator.

If you know someone in need who could benefit from one of the food baskets, they can sign up in the Church Office starting Nov. 1. They need to bring valid identification proving that they are a Macomb County resident. Baskets will be distributed on Nov. 20 from noon-2 p.m.
