Lower grades get outside for fall field trips

October 09, 2023

Some of our lower grade students recently had a chance to get out of the classroom and learn hands-on at some different locations.

Kindergarten

On Wednesday, Oct. 4, the kindergarten class visited Westview Orchards. The class rode a wagon out to the apple orchard where they were able to pick apples from the trees. They also enjoyed cider and doughnuts. Afterward, there was plenty of time to play on the hay mountain, giant pirate ship and navigate the Spookley the Square Pumpkin maze. They also had the chance to meet new animal friends at the petting zoo.

Second and Third Grade

Mrs. McMahon and Mrs. Huff took the second and third grade classes to the Troy Historic Center on Friday, Oct. 6. The students experienced life as pioneers. They roled played as students in a one-room school house, then the students made candles.
