More than 250 people signed up to attend the Early Childhood Center's Summer Kick-Off event on June 29. The families had the opportunity to play on waterslides, have snow cones and popcorn, use the photobooth, play yard games and board games and have dinner. It was an evening for kids to play together and parents to get to know one another and engage with the staff.
The Early Childhood Center invited all ECC families as well as Summer Camp families to attend the event that was held on the school athletic fields, in the Community Center and near the loading dock. There were plenty of things to do, including drawing with chalk, using the play equipment on the field, and the most popular, the waterslides. Even when the temperatures started to drop, kids were still lined up to take their turn going down the slide.
Indoor options such as yard games and board games were set up in the Mini Gym and the Community Center for those who felt impacted by the air quality.
This was the second time the ECC has hosted the Summer Kick-Off. They hope to continue the annual event.
