FAITH NIGHT AT JIMMY JOHN’S FIELD—Join Trinity on Faith Night at Jimmy John’s Field as the Westside Woolly Mammoths take on the Utica Unicorns on Friday, July 18 at 6:30 p.m. Purchase tickets to the game and a portion goes to Trinity’s Restore the Roof campaign. Buy your grandstand tickets from https://shorturl.at/so8i1 or scan the QR code. Tickets are $25 and include the game, plus one hot dog, bag of chips and a soft drink or water. Before the game starts, players and other community members share their faith-based experiences. There will also be a pre-game prayer on the field. Kids run the bases and a fireworks show after the game.
PASTOR GARY’S RETIREMENT TICKETS—On June 15, Father’s Day, we have one service at 10 a.m. This is Pastor Gary’s final worship service before he retires. Following the service, a celebration is from noon to 3 p.m. at the Italian American Cultural Center. Tickets are $25/adults, $15/ages 5-12 and children under 5 are free. Tickets will be sold after all services beginning May 3 until June 1. Trinity members Jim Chauvin, Debbie Montgomery and Kim Waller are organizing the celebration.
CALL UPDATE—After a vote by Trinity’s membership on Sunday, April 13, the congregation has unanimously voted to extend a divine call for the role of Senior Pastor. SUNDAY MORNING ADULT BIBLE STUDY BEGINS APRIL 27—We begin a weekly Bible Study called ‘Stuff They Didn’t Teach Me in Sunday-School’ based on the Scripture readings for each week. Class is led by Pastor Keith and begins April 27 and runs each Sunday from 10:10-10:50 a.m. There is always more to the to the Lectionary readings than the sermon theme. We get behind the scenes of familiar Bible verses that sometimes make us wonder “why did Jesus say that?” “Why did God inspire the author to write that?” and “What is the story behind this verse?”
MONDAY NIGHT WOMENS BIBLE STUDY—Monday Night Ladies Bible Study meets each week and they are currently studying "The Gospel on the Ground,” (the book of Acts) by Kristi McLelland. KINDRED SPIRITS DAY CHANGE THIS MONTH—Kindred Spirits, a group for widows of all ages, normally meets on the third Friday of the month for fellowship and camaraderie and then the group goes out to lunch. However, this month only, we will meet on Monday, April 28 at noon in the Church Lounge. All widows are welcome to join. If you have any questions, contact Cathy Holley at 586-243-9757.
WELLSPRING MEETING—Wellspring Chapter 6 meets on Tuesday, April 29 at St. Luke, Clinton Township. Lunch is served at noon, prepared by the good cooks of St. Luke. Scott Peterson is our guest speaker. He is looking for donations of cleaning supplies, body wash, shampoo and deodorant for men and women, first aid products, toilet paper, paper towels, and Meijer or Walmart gift cards. All are welcome to attend.

DENEWETH’S FLOWER FUNDRAISER—April showers bring May flowers, so get you flowers May 3-4 at Deneweth’s. Purchase your flowers or gift cards that weekend at Deneweth’s and mention Trinity Clinton Township Women’s League at the register, and they will donate 20% of the total price to the Women’s League. That money is later given to various charities.
SIMPLY GIVE IS BACK! From now to June 28, shop the Clinton Township Meijer on Groesbeck, and purchase a $10 Simply Give gift card from the register (or return one from the Welcome Center) and Trinity’s food pantry receives the $10 plus a match from Meijer! FEED THOSE IN NEED-Trinity provides meals/casseroles for Family of God in Detroit monthly on the second Wednesday. Volunteers are needed to cook or donate a dish. Cash donations are also accepted at the Church Office or via Venmo to Cathy Essig (@CLEssig). Family of God serves meals to over 100 people in Detroit 6 days a week. MISS ADAMS RECEIVES A SECOND CALL—Our 4th grade teacher, Miss Grace Adams, has again received a call to another Lutheran school. Pray for her as she discerns God’s guidance whether to continue her call at Trinity or to accept the new call.
MATH FAIR NEXT WEEK—Trinity hosts the K-8 Math Fair on Thursday, April 24 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. This is an open house style event, and you are welcome to check out the students’ projects. They have been working hard on their projects and are eager to show you what they have learned. In addition, recent artwork will be on display in the halls for you to admire. Please enter and exit through the main school doors.

LUTHERAN HIGH NORTH UPCOMING EVENTS—LHN has some upcoming events for grade school students.
- Grades 7/8—Mustang Mix It Up—April 25 from 6-7:30 p.m. Make some new friends and participate in games like volleyball, basketball, dodgeball, etc. Pizza will be provided and we also have giveaways!
- Kindergarten Art Night—April 29—6–7 p.m.
Kindergarteners are invited to join the Lutheran North Art teacher Mrs. Wilson, along with some LHN art students, to create something fantastic and discover LHN’s art program is all about!
THANK YOU—To all who donated cereal to the school’s cereal drive. More than 600 boxes of cereal were collected and donated to the Macomb Foster Closet. COMMISSIONING AND INSTALLATION—On Sunday, April 27, Trinity is excited to celebrate the commissioning and installation of Rebecca Thomas as a Director of Church Ministries. This will occur at the 11 a.m. worship service.
