LENT SERMON SERIES—EYES ON JESUS—When the characters in the Passion narrative look at Jesus, what do they see? In most cases, people misunderstood who He is and what He was doing. In some cases, by faith, people recognized Him aright. Our Lenten series this year, based on the Gospel according to Mark, examines how the various people around Jesus viewed Him—and how we should view Him. We will “fix our eyes” on what Jesus has done to save us from our sins, and celebrate what God sees on account of His work: our justification for His sake.

  • † March 3—Mark 14:26–31, 66–72
  • † March 10—Mark 14:1–2, 53–65
  • † March 17—Mark 15:1–20

MIDWEEK WORSHIP—Each Wednesday throughout Lent, Trinity will hold a midweek, midday devotion at noon the Chapel with communion. If you have time in your schedule, please join us for the short, midday services.

CROSSTALK AUDIO DEVOTIONS are available during Lent. They are published on Wednesday and Fridays. If you’d like to be included and have not received Crosstalk in the past, go to Trinityct.org/crosstalk to sign up. You can also find these devotions on iTunes, Google Play or ask your Alexa enabled device “Play Trinity Lutheran Crosstalk Podcast.” See Trinityct.org/Crosstalk for information.

"I AM N" - Ten years ago, as the self-proclaimed Islamic State (ISIS) and its fighters overran parts of Iraq, they began marking Christian homes and churches with the Arabic letter “n,” or ن , the symbol for Nazarene, which served as a threat to all believers in the area. Hundreds of thousands of Christians fled the country, but where are they today? And what about those who stayed behind? This Friday, March 8, at 8 pm, The Voice of the Martyrs presents "I Am N" – a FREE virtual event where you’ll hear updates on Iraq and inspiring testimonies of costly faith from three Christians who have paid the price for advancing the gospel in areas dominated by Islam plus worship from Steven Curtis Chapman. Register at IamNevent.com.
