What’s Happening at Trinity—March 8, 2026

CALL MEETING—Trinity's Associate Pastor Call Committee has been diligently working to find the man to serve in this capacity at Trinity. Recently, a candidate was brought on site and met with members of the ministry staff, Mission Council, and Elders. The candidate possesses the many qualities and qualifications that align with our position profile overview, and the results of those meetings have been positive. For these reasons, the Call Committee has recommended to the Mission Council that a congregation meeting be scheduled to vote on extending a Divine Call to this candidate to be our next Spiritual Formation Pastor. The Mission Council invites Trinity members to a Call Meeting on Sunday, March 15 at 10:15 a.m. in the Community Center. The single item on the agenda for this meeting is to present the candidate information to the congregation, discuss, and vote on extending a Divine Call to be Spiritual Formation Pastor at Trinity.
Voters must be 18 years or older and a member of Trinity.

EASTER FLOWER SALES—Easter flowers sales are underway! Help us to decorate the sanctuary by purchasing a plant to be placed at the altar. An order form and drop box are located in the Commons. Orders are accepted until March 15. For information, contact Kathy Conrad at 586-914-4512.

COMPASSION PREGNANCY CENTER, one of Trinity’s Impact Missions, has moved to a larger, new facility at 31900 Utica Rd. in Fraser, to be better equipped to help women and men choosing life. To celebrate, there will be two open house events—on Thursday, March 12 from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, March 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Watch for more details. Check out the new space and see in person all of the services and support Compassion Pregnancy Center offers to women, men and families in the community.

SERMON FOCUS—Joy in His Presence—When we think about standing in the presence of the Lord, we often imagine reverence, awe, or even trembling—but Psalm 118 speaks the language of joy. “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” We’ll explore how joy is not a shallow emotion or forced optimism, but a deep response to God’s faithful love and saving work. In a world marked by anxiety and uncertainty, the presence of the Lord becomes the place where true, lasting joy takes root. For the season of Lent, the following verses will be used for upcoming sermons.

  • † March 14/15 - Psalm 46
  • † March 21/22 - Psalm 142
