What’s Happening at Trinity—Oct. 10, 2021

MCREST IS COMING—MCREST is right around the corner. We will be hosting guests in December and our Leadership Team is recruiting for a Hospitality Coordinator. If you would like to help, contact Karol Thomas at 586-206-0711 or . The Big Board Signup, which will have all of our MCREST volunteer opportunities, and Giving Tree will be available in November for anyone who would like to help serve with this ministry.

E3 CONTINUES BE SURE TO RSVP—More than 100 people continue to join us each Wednesday evening for a time of food, education and fellowship. We invite you to join us this Wednesday, whether you are an E3 regular or just want to try it out. Dinner starts at 6 p.m. And yes, it’s free! Classes begin at 6:30 p.m. and run for an hour. There will be a nursery for small children, preschool Bible class, elementary Bible class, our middle/high school meet up and three adult studies: Being a Disciple of Jesus; The Book of Galatians; and Biblical Marriage (Marriage God’s Way). Be sure to register the number of people who will be eating with us Trinityct.org/E3.

OCTOBER IS PASTOR APPRECIATION MONTH- October is Pastor Appreciation Month. It’s an opportunity to tell our pastors and their families how much you appreciate them! How can you do this? You can:

  • Send a card or write a note
  • Lift the pastors and their families in prayer
  • Give our pastors encouragement

These are all ways to SAY you appreciate our pastors. We can also SHOW them by:

  • Coming to worship
  • Participating in the programming they work hard to develop for our congregation
  • Inviting someone to join you at worship or at our programs
  • Offering to serve and be involved at Trinity.

WEEKDAY BIBLE STUDIES AND CLASSES

BETHLEHEM BREAKFAST RETURNS IN-PERSON-The BETHLEHEM BREAKFAST will be held on Saturday, Dec. 4 at 9 a.m. Ladies, mark your calendars now! New venue this year: We will meet in the Trinity Community Center. This years theme will be "WATCH for CHRIST in CHRISTMAS" Join us for a full breakfast, music, scripture and an uplifting Christmas message. Tickets are $15 and will be on sale in the church office Nov.1 through 19, and in the foyer before and after church services on Sundays, Nov. 7,14, and 21. WOMEN’S LEAGUE MEETING -The Women’s League meets Tuesday, Oct. 12 from 6:30-8 p.m. in the Church Lounge. The meeting will include a presentation by Trinity members Chris Kapolka and Alyssa Voiland regarding what actually happens during a HARP mission trip to Ohio. There will also be updates, followed by discussing how we can serve the Lord and support missions and nonprofits during these challenging times. Water and small pre-packaged snacks will be provided. Attendees will be socially distanced when seated during the meeting. Anyone who prefers to wear a mask is welcome to do so. CAMP RESTORE FUNDRAISER—A Night in the Garden of Eatin’, October 16, 4-6 pm – Camp Restore’s annual fundraiser provides a chance to see the work of Camp Restore, hear about the impact they’re having, and lend personal support. They’re hosting a hybrid event, where you can come to meet in their community gardens, meet community leaders, and take a tour of their campus, or do it all from the comfort of your home. LWML FALL FROLIC—The LWML Macomb South Zone Fall Frolic will be held on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 10 a.m. at All Nations Lutheran Church at 17343 15 Mile Road, in Clinton Township. with brunch. All women are invited to attend. It’s a morning of brunch food, fellowship and fun with women from other area churches. We will discuss the future plans for the LWML zone as well. TRINITY QUILTERS RESUMES—The Trinity Quilters for Lutheran World Relief will resume meet monthly on the third Tuesday. Upcoming meetings include Sept. 21 and Oct. 19. For more info, contact the Church Office at 586-463-2921.

KNITTERS MEETING AGAIN! — Trinity Purls knitting group meets on Thursdays at 7 p.m. in the Church Lounge! Join knitters and crocheters to create lap and prayer shawls for those in need. For information, contact Joan Lavey 586-791-5016.
