SERMON SERIES—Discipleship doesn’t stop with us—it always flows outward. As Jesus reminds us in John 3:16–21, God’s love is for the whole world, a light shining in the darkness. This week, we’ll explore how following Jesus means engaging the world with hope, compassion, and courage. From the longing of creation in Romans 8 to the psalmist’s cry in Psalm 14, we’ll see how God’s people are called to step into a hurting world with the message of life. When we engage the world, we do so as those sent by the One who loved it first.

NEW SERMON SERIES—A new sermon series begins next week. The series, titled “Ancient Letters to a Modern Church,” will focus on 2 Timothy, with readings coming from the lectionary. Upcoming readings include:

  • † Oct. 5 — 2 Timothy 1:1–14
  • † Oct. 12 — 2 Timothy 2:1–13
  • † Oct. 19 — 2 Timothy 3:14–4:5

E3 CONTINUES—E3, our Wednesday evening gatherings, continue on Wednesdays. Life with Jesus is available for those who want to become members, but the new format makes it engaging for all adults. The youth group, a children’s program and the nursery are als available. Programming begins at 6:30 p.m. No dinner will be served prior to E3. Enter through the main church doors.
