2024 CONFIRMANDS—The first confirmation meeting is TODAY, Sunday, Sept. 29 at 6:30 p.m. in the Youth Lounge. This three-part series prepares the students for the Rite of Confirmation on Oct. 27.The other dates, Oct. 6 and Oct. 13 are in the evening. RED LETTER CHALLENGE—Trinity is in week 3 of the 40-day Red Letter Challenge today. It's a deep-dive into living out the words and teachings of Jesus. This week focuses on Forgiving (both receiving and giving). Each Sunday, the sermon will be focused on the week’s theme. Also, our E3 groups and Tuesday (ladies) and Wednesday morning (men) Bible studies will center on the Red Letter Challenge. If you want to participate, books are still available at the Welcome Center (one per household please).
E3 CONTINUES THIS WEEK—Our Wednesday evening programs for the whole family continues Wednesday, Sept. 25. We have free dinner at 6 p.m. followed by our group meet ups at 6:30 p.m. All of our groups will focus on the Red Letter Challenge. There is a group for adults, youth group, a preteen group, elementary school and a nursery for those under 5. VOICES IN PRAISE REHEARSALS—The adult choir, Voices in Praise, meets Thursdays at 7 p.m. in the choir room for rehearsals. The choir is made up of members from Trinity as well as St. Luke Clinton Township. This choir performs regularly at Trinity’s 9 a.m. worship and at services at St. Luke. YOUTH GATHERING 2025—If you are currently in 8th through 12th grade - we invite you to an informational meeting for the LCMS National Youth Gathering on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 10:10 a.m. in the Youth Lounge. The National Youth Gathering is an event held every three years and is an opportunity for youth involved in our Lutheran churches from across the globe to gather centered around our Savior - where there are opportunities to learn, play, serve, grow and worship together. Nationally renowned speakers, bands, comedians, artists and many others bring the saving message home to those in attendance. Please come and hear about this once in a lifetime event. PRESCHOOL OPENINGS-- It’s not too late to enroll in preschool! Trinity's Early Childhood Center has openings in the traditional half-day three and four-year-old preschool program and in the FREE Great Start Readiness Program for this fall. TRINITY TRUNK OR TREAT Trinity will again host a parent-organized Trunk or Treat event on Saturday, Oct. 26. Students are welcome to dress up and visit the trunks in the parking lot where treats will be passed out. Trunks should be family-friendly, not scary or decorated in a way that might frighten younger children. Set up for Trunks will be from 6-7 p.m. (after 5 p.m. church) with trick-or-treating from 7-8 p.m. Food trucks will be there and available at 6:15 p.m. This is a rain or shine event. VOLUNTEER NEEDED ONCE A MONTH—Trinity is looking for a volunteer to be in the building while the Friendship Club meets. This is a group for teens who are on the Autism spectrum and their parents to get together for fun, food and camaraderie. The group meets on the second Saturday of each month from 7-10 p.m., September-May. The group handles their own custodial needs and just need someone to be on hand to supervise the building during that time. POTATO PANCAKE SUPPER—St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Richmond brings back the Potato Pancake Supper on Sunday, Oct. 20 from 3-6 p.m. The menu includes potato pancakes, bologna, applesauce, sour cream, dessert and beverages. The cost is $12 for adults (all you can eat) and children 12 and under are $5. All proceeds go to support student Christian education. St. Peter’s is located at 67055 Gratiot Ave. in Richmond.
