Young Fives
Young Fives is designed for children who would benefit from an additional year to grow socially, emotionally, and academically because entering kindergarten. The Young Fives program is open to children with a birthday of Sept. 1, 2021 to Dec. 1, 2021 . Children with birthdays prior to Sept. 1 may also be considered at the director's discreation but must schedule a meeting before enrollment. Children must have completed a preschool program prior to enrollment.
The program provides a nurturing, structured environment that supports kindergarten readiness throughout developmentally appropriate instruction, hands-on learning, and opportunities to build confidence, independence, and postive peer relationships.
Curriculum
We use Creative Curriculum in all of our preschool classrooms. Our preschool provides a balance of child-directed play and teacher-directed learning activities each day. Preschool classrooms offer daily Jesus Time. We focus on a different Bible account each week that is appropriate for young children. We also offer daily songs, science, math, art, literacy and either daily or weekly gym and outdoor activities. Learning social skills through child-directed play time is supported and encouraged. The preschool curriculum is designed with long-range goals in mind and will contribute effectively to the child’s social, intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual development. We use the GOLD Assessment from Creative Curriculum and meet with you about your child’s progress. Although “play” is not listed as a “concept,” play is an important vehicle through which children learn.
SCHEDULE OPTIONS
The program runs Sept. 8, 2026 to June 4, 2027 and follows the same calendar as our grade school, including scheduled breaks and time off.
There are two options for enrollment.
- Monday through Friday - 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m.

- Includes two snacks and a hot lunch daily
- Aftercare is available for families in need at an hourly rate of $5.60.
Staff
All of our staff are committed Christian people with a heart for children. Each classroom has a lead teacher with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Most classrooms also have an assistant(s). All staff are carefully screened and trained to provide excellence in education in a nurturing environment.
