The sixth grade students and their parent chaperones spent three days at Michigan Christian Youth Camp, enjoying God's creation and one another.
The students packed up in cars and left for camp on Wednesday, Oct. 9. They arrived at camp around lunchtime, set up their cabins and had plenty of time to explore, canoe, hike, participate in teambuilding exercises and play games together. Thursday featured more of the same, along with horseback riding, fishing, a hay ride and even a chance to see the Northern Lights. Friday was the final day at camp. Over the course of the trip, students also had the chance to work with leather crafts and make candles. Students finished up their rotations and returned to Trinity.
Trinity has been attending the Michigan Christian Youth Camp in Attica, Mich., for several years. Outdoor education is an important component of the middle school years at Trinity. The sixth grade attends each fall and the seventh grade will venture out to camp in January.
