6th grade goes to camp

September 26, 2022

Just as the sixth graders are settling into life as middle schoolers at Trinity, they get to take part in an annual activity that all of the students seem to love--outdoor ed. They head to the YMCA's Camp Copneconic in Fenton for three days of learning with and about one another.

Jill Kopper, sixth grade teacher, took the class during the third week of school. The students were able to learn more about animals in the area and even hold some reptiles. They also canoed, participated in the high ropes course and spent time on teambuilding exercises. The students and Ms. Kopper were joined by several parent chaperones.

The camp is a YMCA facility located on 700 acres with a mix of historic and modern facilities. The students were assisted by Camp Copneconic's trained staff members.
