A State of Michigan grant allowed the Early Childhood Center to complete updates in classrooms, office, playground and even landscaping. The state grants were used to address renovation projects on the ten-year plan. The updates increase the center's functionality, helps to uphold Trinity's high standards for quality care and gives the Early Childhood Center a fresh look.
Here are the projects that have been completed or started with the grant funds:
- The front office received a makeover with new floording, office furniture and equipment and paint.
- All classrooms are updated with new vinyl flooring, cabinetry and counter surfacing.
- The playgrounds, both preschool and the infant/toddler play ground have new equipment.
- Cement and fence work is completed in the preschool and infant/toddler playground areas.
- New refrigerators were installed in the classrooms and staff lounge.
- The HVAC units in the center were replaced.
Most of the work was completed over the summer, with some of it wrapping up this fall.
