Through the month of February, an anonymous donor is matching donations to the Hardt-Rathe Scholarship Fund, up to $5,000. The Hardt-Rathe Scholship fund was established to assist families who desire a Christian education for that children, but need financial assistance to help cover tuition.
The Hardt-Rathe Tuition Assistance Fund was established in honor of Ted Hardt, a long-time Trinity teacher, and Willard Rathe, who was a teacher and principal at Trinity from 1946 until he retired in 1982. Kathy Reither, daughter of Rathe, has continued to assist in building the scholarship through family gatherings, coffee hours and other events that generate donations. Now, with the generous donor, Trinity is able to help grow the scholarship and help more students have a Christian education.
Each year, through the continued support of the congregation to the Hardt-Rathe Scholarship Fund, Trinity provides an average of $30,000 to support families with tuition needs. We are incredibly thankful, and
would love to see this generous donation matched so we can continue to bless families for multiple generations. All contributions are tax deductible. Checks can be made payable to Trinity Lutheran Church with the memo line “Hardt-Rathe Fund” and can be brought to the school office or placed with the offering baskets. Contributions can also be made online by going to Give Online and selecting Hardt-Rathe Scholaship as the fund for your donation.
