The Meijer Simply Give Campaign, which ran this spring at the Meijer on Groesback, blessed our food pantry with $22,320. This money will be given to Trinity in the form of gift cards that can be used for food items. 

Trinity was one of many organizations benefitting from the Simply Give campaign, which is now in it's 16th year. Donation card sales for the spring campaign came in at $680,610 with Meijer double match donations of $898,760 and additional contributions of $49,120. Also, Miejer added $2 million with a record-tying donation as part of this year's Meijer LPGA Classic. That's more then $3.6 million dollars to help feed hungry families across the midwest. 

Trinity had $5,410 donations in card sales, $9,400 in double match donations, $7,380 from the LPGA Classic donation and $130 in other donations. 

And we're not done. Trinity is part of the fall Simple Give campaign as well. The fall program runs through Sept. 24 at the Meijer store on Groesbeck near Cass in Clinton Township. 

How can you help? 

Pick up one of the Simply Give cards in the register lanes or from our Welcome Center. Scan them when you pay. They can be purchased in $10 increments. For every card purchased, Meijer donates an additional $10, meaning your $10 earns Trinity $20. We have two double match days-Saturday, Aug. 17 and Saturday, Sept. 14. For every $10 Simply Give card purchased, Meijer contributes $20, bringing the total to $30 for Trinity’s food pantry.
