A giant tent filled the gym the first week of summer camp, when the Michigan Science Center brought the organization's planetarium to Trinity.
A Michigan Science Center teacher taught the children about the sky, the planets and some easy-to-spot constellations. They learned about how the sky changes throughout the year and what happens to the stars in t he sky when it's light outside.
The portable planetarium offered an immersive experience. Students climbed into the dome into darkness and learned about the sky as it rotated around them.
