Why Celebrate Christmas in July?

Christmas may still be months away, but the ministry that makes it meaningful begins long before December arrives. That's why we're celebrating Christmas in July at Trinity! Throughout the month, we're inviting our church family to help prepare for one of our biggest seasons of ministry by volunteering, supporting Christmas outreach, exploring Advent resources, enjoying a few festive surprises, and finding new ways to get involved. Together, we can build excitement, serve others, and begin sharing the hope of Christ now—because Christmas isn't just a date on the calendar; it's the story of God's love that we get to live and share all year long.

Church Christmas Tree

For many families, Trinity's beautiful Christmas tree in the Church Commons has become a part of the traditions of the season, welcoming worshipers and reminding us of the joy of Christ's birth. This tradition doesn't happen on its own—it comes to life because dedicated volunteers give their time and talents to set up and decorate the tree each year. Sign up now and be part of preparing our campus for Christmas. Emails will be sent closer to set up to remind you and provide details.

Christmas Donations

Giving Tree

During the holiday season, Trinity supports the Mount Clemens Community Center's youth program, which provides services to local at-risk youth. Trinity is collecting a number of items to donate to the program. Bring the items in now until Christmas and we will store them. We are collecting small toiletry items (toothpaste, deodorant, soap, shampoo, etc.), flannel pants and shorts, fidget-type toys,  snacks, pens and pencils, and other trinket items that can be used to fill Christmas stockings for the youth.

MCREST

Traditionally Trinity supports MCREST in December of each year. While the men, women and children are hosted at the shelter in Mount Clemens, there are still plenty of ways to help. MCREST is always in need of full and travel-sized toiletry items, new clothing items and soft goods (including socks, underwear, and t-shirts), daily essentials (ponchos, sunscreen, big spray), and laundry detergents and fabric softeners. Small gift cards and cash donations can also be made to Trinity and directed to MCREST. For more information, visit the MCREST Donation page at the link below.

Resources for Advent

In Advent 2025, Trinity produced a  special Advent book shaped by our Advent sermon series and the themes woven throughout our daily Crosstalk audio devotions for individuals and families of all ages.  Inside, there were daily Scripture readings, space to write thoughts and prayers, weekly questions to go deeper into each theme, and family discussion prompts for those with younger children. We also included songs, recipes, coloring sheets, and other activities to help everyone—from the youngest to the oldest—engage with the story of Advent in a meaningful way.

"The King is Coming" was available for a free-will donation. For transparency sake, these book cost Trinity approximately $8 each in production costs. To help offset the cost of a 2026 edition, consider donating to the Free Will Donation now. If you have ideas such as recipes, activity ideas, song suggestions or something you'd like to see in an upcoming edition, submit the Idea and Suggestion Form.

Christmas (in July) Crosstalk Top 10

Each Advent season, Trinity presents Crosstalk, a daily audio devotion designed around Bible verses related to our Advent theme. Crosstalks are written and presented by members of Trinity's staff, community and congregation. We've looked back in the archives from 2021 to present and pulled up our Top 10 Advent Crosstalk devotions. Take a listen at some of the messages, some with some former yet familiar voices, and hear which ones were our most downloaded.

To participate in our Crosstalk audio series, either in Advent or Lent, email Steve Adams at
