Good Friday Service

We gather for solemn worship that recounts the seven last words of Christ leading to His death. At the last word, Jesus gives up his spirit, so we slam the Altar Book and walk the eternal flame out of the sanctuary. In darkness, we sing “Amazing Grace,” in anticipation of Easter Sunday and greet each other with the scandelous claim, “He is risen!”
