What’s Happening at Trinity—April 6, 2025

SENIOR PASTOR CALL MEETING SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 13— The Senior Pastor Search Committee has recently identified a qualified candidate. He was brought on site and met with our staff. This candidate possesses the qualities and qualifications that align with our Pastor Profile needs, and the results of the in-person meetings have been positive. For these reasons, the Call Committee has recommended to the Mission Council that a congregation meeting be scheduled to vote on extending a Divine Call to this candidate to be our next Senior Pastor. The Mission Council would like to invite you to the scheduled Call Meeting on Sunday, April 13 at 10 a.m. in the Sanctuary. The agenda for this meeting is to present the candidate information to the congregation, discuss, and vote on extending a Divine Call to be Senior Pastor at Trinity. Please, plan to attend and be part of this exciting next step in Trinity’s journey as we all seek to be “Fully Devoted Followers of Jesus Christ.”

SUNDAY MORNING ADULT BIBLE STUDY BEGINS APRIL 27—We begin a weekly Bible Study called ‘Stuff They Didn’t Teach Me in Sunday-School’ based on the Scripture readings for each week. Class is led by Pastor Keith and begins April 27 and runs each Sunday from 10:10-10:50 a.m. There is always more to the to the Lectionary readings than the sermon theme. We get behind the scenes of familiar Bible verses that sometimes make us wonder ‘”why did Jesus say that?” “Why did God inspire the author to write that?” and “What is the story behind this verse?” Our class is named in honor of the late Rev. Bruce Wurdeman, former Executive Director of Lutheran Hour Ministries, who created a Bible study of the same name.
