What’s Happening at Trinity—Jan. 25, 2026
CALL MEETING—Trinity's Associate Pastor Call Committee has been diligently working to find the man to serve in this capacity at Trinity. Recently, a candidate was brought on site and met with members of the ministry staff, Mission Council, and Elders. The candidate possesses the many qualities and qualifications that align with our position profile overview, and the results of those meetings have been positive. For these reasons, the Call Committee has recommended to the Mission Council that a congregation meeting be scheduled to vote on extending a Divine Call to this candidate to be our next Spiritual Formation Pastor. The Mission Council invites Trinity members to a Call Meeting on Sunday, Jan. 25 at 10:15 a.m. in the Community Center. The single item on the agenda for this meeting is to present the candidate information to the congregation, discuss, and vote on extending a Divine Call to be Spiritual Pastor at Trinity. Voters must be 18 years or older and a member of Trinity.

SERMON SERIES—The Gospel lesson for today tells us at the TIME Jesus begins his earthly ministry He stops to talk to some fishermen by the lake and invites them to Follow Him. Amazingly, they just leave their boats and fishing gear and followed Jesus in his ministry. Eventually they were sent out to LEAD the ministry Jesus started. This was not a by chance meeting for either Jesus or the fishermen, it was God’s TIMING and it served every purpose under heaven as is says in Ecclesiastes. They were brought together for “Such a TIME as THIS” (Esther 4:14). It is the same for you. In this TIME, you as a baptized Christian heard the same call to follow Jesus. Could it be He also wants you to LEAD in some way to serve His purpose? Readings for the week: Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, 1 Corinthians 1:10-18 and Matthew 4:12-25.
