What’s Happening at Trinity—March 15, 2026

CALL MEETING—Trinity's Associate Pastor Call Committee has been diligently working to find the man to serve in this capacity at Trinity. Recently, a candidate was brought on site and met with members of the ministry staff, Mission Council, and Elders. The candidate possesses the many qualities and qualifications that align with our position profile overview, and the results of those meetings have been positive. For these reasons, the Call Committee has recommended to the Mission Council that a congregation meeting be scheduled to vote on extending a Divine Call to this candidate to be our next Spiritual Formation Pastor. The Mission Council invites Trinity members to a Call Meeting on Sunday, March 15 at 10:15 a.m. in the Community Center. The single item on the agenda for this meeting is to present the candidate information to the congregation, discuss, and vote on extending a Divine Call to be Spiritual Formation Pastor at Trinity. Voters must be 18 years or older and a member of Trinity.

GRIEFSHARE—A new GriefShare group begins at Trinity on Thursday, March 26 from 6-8 p.m. in the Chapel and runs 13 weeks, concluding on June 18. A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Participants discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way. The cost to attend is $20 and includes the workbook. Scholarships are available. For more information, contact Lisa Riviera, Parish Nurse/Human Care Director at  or call 586-463-2921 ext. 111. To register, logon to https://find.griefshare.org/groups/289934.

UPDATE-HARDT-RATHE SCHOLARSHIP—The Hardt-Rathe Scholarship fund was started to assist families who desire a Christian education for their children but needed financial assistance. We had a total $16,228 donated to the Hardt-Rathe Scholarship Fund in the month of February for the Matching Challenge! With the $5,000 match, that means a total of $21,228 was raised for the Hardt-Rathe Matching Challenge.

SERMON FOCUS—Strength for the Journey—As we journey through life we often have to face troubling times so traumatic that is seems like what Psalm 46 describes as “the earth gives way and the seas foam and surge.” What this means is very foundational structure of your being is rocked so hard it collapses—there is nothing left to hold you up spiritually, emotionally or physically. When this happens where or to what do you turn to for help? The answer is the Lord your God because he is the ever-present help and refuge in times of trouble. He will be your strength for every journey in life.

MEN’S GROUP LAUNCHING—We are excited to launch Iron Men, a opportunity for connection and encouragement among the men of our church, school, and ECC community. Inspired by Proverbs 27:17—“As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another”—this ministry is focused on helping men grow as husbands, fathers, leaders, and brothers in Christ through fellowship, conversation, and service. Our first monthly gathering takes place Wednesday, April 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Kuhnenn's Brewery (subject to change). Before attending, men are invited to watch a short sermon (scan the QR code) by Joby Martin that will spark some discussion, though the evening will primarily focus on fellowship and building friendships. When men encourage one another and stay rooted in Christ, it strengthens our families, our church, and our community. We hope you’ll join us. Reach out to Principal Mark Brown for more information at
