MCREST IS COMING—This year, for the first time, Trinity will be hosting MCREST the week AFTER Christmas, instead of Christmas Week. This year is different as the women and children will be at the shelter in Mount Clemens, while about 30 men will reside at Trinity. We need to arrange for meals at the shelter as well as at Trinity. Additionally, we need people at Trinity to assist with set-up and take down, breakfast, daily checkout, transportation, laundry, lunch, hospitality and overnights. The BIG BOARD is up in the church foyer. Consider where you can help and sign up. If you have questions, contact Parish Nurse Lisa Riviera at or call 586-463-2921.

GIVING TREE FOR MCREST—During Trinity’s MCREST week, many supplies are needed to provide for the needs of our guests. A Christmas tree is located next to the volunteer board in the church foyer. There are tags on the tree indicating the items we need. Take a tag and bring the items back to church. Leave them under the tree or stop in the church office to drop them off. For more information, contact Parish Nurse Lisa Riviera at  or call the Church Office at 586-463-2921.

BLOOD DRIVE—The next Trinity blood drive will be held on TUESDAY, Dec. 13 from 1-7 p.m. in the Community Center. Sign up online at redcrossblood.org or call the Parish Nurse Lisa Riviera at 586-213-1339 or email

HELP FAMILY OF GOD— Trinity provides meals for our mission, Family of God in Detroit, on the second Wednesday of each month. We need volunteers to provide a casserole/meal. If you can help, call Karen Langreet at 586-445-2460 or 586-291-6273. For more info on Family of God, visit fogdetroit.com.

Maybe you eat lunch regularly at the same place (Subway, Chipotle, Panera)? Or gas up at the same station every week (Speedway, Marathon)? By purchasing gift cards through the Raise Right program, you can earn money towards your school tuition and help Trinity in the process. Over 400 vendors participate and it’s as easy as ordering online. For information, contact Rachel Nyboer in the school office at , or visit raiseright.com.

SENIOR PASTOR SEARCH UPDATE—Trinity Lutheran Church is seeking a new Senior Pastor to provide leadership of the mission and vision of our congregation toward a vibrant future. The candidate must have a passion for the truth of scripture, diversity in worship styles, reaching unbelievers, and in moving people into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. The Senior Pastor will serve alongside a large staff that fulfills the mission of the church through the ministries of the church, school, and Early Childhood Center in a cohesive manner. Administrative and financial oversight of all areas of ministry with long-range planning will be key components of the Senior Pastor’s role.
