If you have a loved one that died in faith in the past year (Nov. 1, 2025-Oct. 31, 2026) and you would like their name included in the list of the “Faithful Departed,” please contact the church office at 586-463-2921 or by Friday, Oct. 23. HELP SHAPE OUR ADVENT BOOK - Last year’s Advent resource guide and Lent workbook taught us something special:our Trinity community values resources that help us grow in faith and connect with one another. This Advent, we’d love to make those connections even more personal using your stories. Your memories will help shape this year’s Advent devotion and activity book, and with your permission, we may include your stories or quotes. To submit your Christmas memories and stories, visit Trinityct.org/christmassurvey.

SERMON SERIES—Philippian' Through Matthew–Powers That Be–The pharisee’s followers—and other Jewish leaders aligned with Rome—came with malice. The apostles came with their own agenda. What draws you to Jesus? A desire to be heard? To control? The ability to handle your life and what’s in it? Through motives dark and light, Jesus meets our attempted traps, our doubts, our agendas, even our grasp, and sends us away marveling in his power. As people respond to Jesus’ parables, Jesus meets them there to reveal the imprint of God. Jesus meets you here, however you’re responding, to reveal God’s imprint to you. Come and see. — Today's readings come from Isaiah 45:1-7, 1 Thessalonians 1:1-10, and Matthew 22:15-22.
