VETERANS DAY SERVICE—Trinity will mark Veterans Day with a special chapel service on Wednesday, Nov. 8. The time will be announced shortly. Our school students will attend and we also invite the community and especially veterans to come hear the message presented by Pastor Norm Koy. ALL SAINTS DAY—The weekend of Nov. 4/5, we will remember, and give thanks to God, for our loved ones who have died in faith and are in heaven as part of the Church Triumphant! If you have a loved that died in faith in the past year (Nov. 1, 2022 -Oct. 31, 2023) and you would like their name included in the list of the “Faithful Departed,” please contact the church office at 586-463-2921 or by Monday, Oct. 31. Contact the office even if the funeral service was held at Trinity.

REFORMATION/CONFIRMATION: The weekend of Oct. 28/29, we will celebrate two important events. First, we will celebrate the Rite of Confirmation for a number of our young people as they commit themselves to a life of following Jesus at our 11a.m. service. At our Saturday and 8 a.m. services we will celebrate the our heritage as Lutheran Christians with our Reformation Day worship. Plan to be with us as worship the living God.
CURRENT PREACHING SERIES—HEART CONDITION. What’s in your heart? We’ll focus on what the Bible says about matters of the heart. The series runs through October.

E3 CONTINUES WITH NEW ADULT STUDY—E3, our Wednesday evening gathering and activities for all ages, continues through the fall! Free pizza is served at 6 p.m. followed by the meet ups at 6:30 p.m. There is something for everyone in the family. Life with Jesus continues to meet as well as the senior and junior high youth groups, preteens, elementary students and a nursery. The Bible study with Steve and Sharon Meseke moves on to the next book in the series, “Fire on the Mountain.” Books are available at class meetings. BETHLEHEM BREAKFAST - The Bethlehem Breakfast returns this year on Saturday, Dec. 2 from 9-11 a.m. at the Italian American Cultural Society banquet facility on Romeo Plank in Clinton Township. PRAYER FOR STEPHEN MINISTRY—This week, our Stephen Minister trainees begin sessions on “Assertiveness: Relating Gently and Firmly.” They will learn what makes an assertive approach more effective than passive or aggressive relating, look at the Biblical foundation of assertiveness, and discuss and apply the principles of the book “Speaking the Truth in Love: How to Be an Assertive Christian,” which uses Jesus as the model for assertive behavior. LUTHERAN WOMEN MISSIONARY LEAGUE FALL UPDATE—The LWML Macomb South Zone Fall Frolic is Saturday, Oct. 28 at Bethlehem located at 29675 Gratiot Ave, Roseville The theme is “Sharing Our Blessing” and begins at 10 a.m. The cost is $7. BLANKETS NEEDED-If anyone has a new or gently used winter-weight blanket that they don't need, donate them this Sunday or Oct. 29 at the Welcome Center labeled “For Peace Lutheran Church.” Peace is located on East Warren in Detroit. hey are collecting blankets for people in their neighborhood.
CANS AND BOTTLES FOR GIRL SCOUTS—The Girl Scouts are hosting a bottle drive. Volunteers will be in the Community Center entrance on Sunday, Oct. 29 from 10:30-11 a.m. to collect the can and bottle donations. Please make sure all bottles and cans are in garbage bags. The donations will help the girls to make awesome memories and help the community.

CAN YOU MAKE A CASSEROLE TO HELP THOSE IN NEED Trinity provides meals/casseroles for Family of God in Detroit on the second Wednesday of every month and we need volunteers to provide a casseroles. FOOD SERVICE HELP WANTED—The Early Childhood Center is looking for a part-time food service staff member. This positions is responsible for portioning and delivering lunch and two snacks daily along with food service utensils to 8 classrooms. This includes measuring, sorting, staying organized, and washing in an automated dishwasher. The position hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.– 12:15 p.m. Full time options available. PRESCHOOL OPENINGS-- Trinity's Early Childhood Center has openings in the traditional half-day three and four-year-old preschool program and in the FREE Great Start Readiness Program for this fall. The annual Achatz Pie fundraiser is going on now! Order your fruit pie, cream pie, pot pie, lobster pie or even homemade soup coupons from the Early Childhood Center and $5 of all purchases go to support the center.
