SERMON FOCUS—God gives mothers a unique calling that mirrors the sacrificial, nurturing love of God, and the church honors motherhood best by recognizing it as a holy vocation shaped by faith, endurance, and self-giving love. Readings for this week: Proverbs 31:10-31, Ephesians 6:1-3, Luke 2:41-52.

SUNDAY EVENING YOUTH GROUP—Students in grades 6-12 can join us each Sunday at 6 p.m. in the Youth Lounge. (The group will not meet May 10 in honor of Mother’s Day) Students get together to grow in God’s Word, develop and deepen friendship and make plans to life out their faith in the world around us. LADIES MONDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY meets each Monday at 6:30 p.m. in the Church Lounge to study "Esther.” Enter the side door near the music room and someone will let you in. All ladies are welcome. For information contact Bonnie Young at 586-350-3222

TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY—The Tuesday morning Bible study meets to enjoy God's Word each week from 9:30-10:45 a.m. in the Church Lounge. Led by Mary Hartman and Lila Tirsell.

MEN’S BIBLE STUDY is on Wednesdays from 6-7 a.m. in the Church Lounge. Connect with over twenty Christian brothers for Bible study, conversation, and spiritual growth. Study guides and coffee provided.

WIDOWS’ GROUP—Trinity’s widows’ group, Kindred Spirits, has its first meeting of 2026 this Friday, May 15 at noon in the Church Lounge. This group meets monthly on a Friday at Trinity for fellowship and camaraderie and then the group goes out to lunch. HARP 2026: The month of May is the final HARP collection month. The focus is on collecting hygiene kits, flood buckets, pots and pans, microwaves, toasters, toaster ovens and other household items and also Christmas items—see details by the display. FEED THOSE IN NEED-Trinity provides meals/casseroles for Family of God in Detroit monthly on the second Wednesday. Volunteers are needed to cook or donate a dish. Cash donations are also accepted at the Church Office or via Venmo to Cathy Essig (@CLEssig). Family of God serves meals to over 100 people in Detroit 6 days a week. MINISTRY IN MISSION TRIP—Trinity members Liza Cizmas and Kent and Vicki Marshall are participating in a mission trip to the Dominican Republic, May 30-June 6. The outreach includes running a dental clinic and the eyeglass clinic serving displaced Haitian refugees. Partner with them through prayer and eyeglass donations. Bring your old eyeglasses to the Coffee Hour on Sunday, May 10 or drop them off in the donation area outside of the Youth Lounge. For more information on this trip, visit ministryinmission.com.

MACOMB HABITAT GOLF OUTING—Macomb Habitat for Humanity hosts its annual golf outing, Home-In-One Golf Classic on Monday, June 15 at Greystone Golf Course in Washington Township. NEW THIS YEAR—PRESCHOOL SUMMER CAMP—This summer, Trinity offers half-day summer camp for 3 and 4 year-olds. Camp begins June 15 and runs for 10 weeks. Camp is Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. with new, fun and educational themes each week. Register for one to 10 weeks of camp. THE WALKATHON IS COMING! Trinity school’s annual Walkathon is just over four weeks away. It is the morning of Friday, May 22 and all parents are invited for this morning of fun. Mrs. Nyboer is in search of a few Thrivent Action grants to use for the upcoming Walkathon to purchase food and prizes. Please email if you can help.

TRINITY LAUNCHES YOUNG 5S—This fall, the Early Childhood Center begins offering Young Fives. This program is designed for children who would benefit from an additional year to grow socially, emotionally, and academically before entering kindergarten. The Young Fives program is open to children with a birthday of Sept. 1, 2021 to Dec. 1, 2021. Children must have completed a preschool program prior to enrollment. The program runs Sept. 8, 2026 to June 4, 2027 and follows the same calendar as our grade school, including scheduled breaks and time off. For more information, go to Trinityct.org/young5s.
